Indonesian Gado-gado
The Indonesians did it first, the Buddha Bowl!!
A mixture of every goodness!
You know those times when you are craving something crunchy and chewy, sweet and savory, spicy and smooth, hearty and light? Well, Indonesian cuisine to the rescue, because I have just the dish for you. Indonesian Gado-gado, meaning mixture of everything.
This lovely dish incorporates all the things you love about salad. Yes, salad. Now don’t not try this because I used the word salad. Think of this dish as a Buddha Bowl, the meal in a bowl. This is an excellent dish to combine a variety of “mis-matched” ingredients from your fridge into a very cohesive and satisfying meal.
Now, not only do you get to use up ingredients that are in your fridge, you get to use your ready-made [Sambal Pecel] as the most delicious dressing you could imagine on your mixture of ingredients.
As always, there is a link to an instructional video and let me know how it turns out for you. You can tag me in your photos and we can all see how this delicious dish turned out for everyone.

You can either have the dressing in a pouring bowl or pour the dressing directly on the salad in whatever fashion you like.
You can enjoy as is, but if you want you can also eat this salad with rice.
